Personal Project Proposal

     I would defiantly would like to do 4 shirts, leaving 2 to be more experimental with cutting holes and backing them with other dyed pieces. I also wouldn't mind making a pocket out of a pre dyed piece on a white shirt, along with adding some screen prints to each piece.


This is the graphic Id like to use, its from a 1963 mickey cartoon.


Possibly do something like this with mickey behind a dyed pocket I add to the shirt.

Dye Session 2 in Progress

  Tried to do an ombré sharbori thing, but I accidentally used walnut instead of the logwood. I also tried putting some nails in one of the pieces, I folded it a few times before I put the nails through. I also had the stove on low and let them sit in the pot at least an hour, would have done it longer but I started kinda late....

Dye Session 1 Completed Work

  For the 2nd dye session I did the walnut and logwood. I got some really good results from the logwood but was kinda disappointed with the walnut, so I threw a test pieces of the rosa into the walnut for a quick dip. The two mixed didn't come out the best, so I tried it again with the turmeric dyed piece into the logwood and think that combo has some potential.
