I would defiantly would like to do 4 shirts, leaving 2 to be more experimental with cutting holes and backing them with other dyed pieces. I also wouldn't mind making a pocket out of a pre dyed piece on a white shirt, along with adding some screen prints to each piece. This is the graphic Id like to use, its from a 1963 mickey cartoon. Possibly do something like this with mickey behind a dyed pocket I add to the shirt. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mvfV9Ps8l74&list=LLcjyx8yPJca_W3PZwBttIvg&index=2&t=27s ^^^^ There are a few techniques I may try from this video as well.
It was really important that the pockets were actual pockets, and I also hand washed each garment so they are ready to wear. This was a solid dye with logwood and the pocket was a shabori pattern with logwood. This was a triangle style logwood dye. I let it simmer on low heat in the dye bath for 2 hours, really happy with how this one came out. This was a solid madder dye with a rojo splatter pocket. This was a rojo ice dye, I like how it came out but think I needed to use a lot more ice. The dye was still very concentrated at the top after 3 layers of ice had melted over it.
